Miranda rolls out XVP-3901 HD/SD processor

At IBC2008, Miranda Technologies launched a new Densité Series 3Gb/s HD/SD video and audio processor, the XVP-3901, that delivers advanced signal processing on a single card.

The XVP-3901 can adapt feeds to match a facility’s house format. It can accept 3Gb/s HD/SD feeds and continuously deliver independent 3G/HD and SD outputs. The processor performs all the necessary up/down/crossconversions as well as color space and aspect ratio conversions to maintain the chosen output format regardless of the input format.

An optional fiber cartridge simplifies fiber-optic installation and provides simple selection between fiber and BNC inputs/outputs. The processor supports AFD automatic aspect ratio control and offers background keying so side panels, or top/bottom panels, introduced by up/downconversion can be filled with video or graphics.
