MultiDyne will introduce its LiGHTBoX fiber-optic field transport system at IBC2008 (stand 2.A54). The new system, which handles up to two HD-SDI feeds at 1.5G or 3G speeds, addresses the need for fiber transport in sports applications.
The LiGHTBoX has both AC and DC power operation with battery backup. It is a bidirectional (simplex or duplex) field fiber transport for HD, video, audio, Ethernet and data and is fully customizable, offering virtually any signal configuration.
The road-ready fiber system can be linked via a fiber cable or any pigtail-type connector to another LiGHTBoX or MultiDyne terminal products. It handles DVM–2500, HD–1500, HD–3000 and HEMC–4000. A single configuration of the LiGHTBoX handles the JVC multicore connector for the camera CCU.
