Neotion releases Pocket Plus

Neotion has released Pocket Plus, a secured silicon-based conditional-access common interface (CI) module.

The Pocket Plus modules allow any set‐top box or iDTV to scale up to advanced hardware-based conditional-access implementations without complex, lengthy certification.

For nearly a decade, Neotion has provided System‐on‐a‐Chip (SoC) processors for digital TV applications. Its new Pocket Plus range provides a set of security CI and CI+ modules powered by the company’s new series of secured silicon. The Neotion-designed SoC is a dual processor combining an ARM core primarily dedicated to the application and a fully separated built‐in secured RISC co‐processor in charge of running the hardwired cryptographic functions and security sequences in a stand-alone manner.
