AVCHD, the H.264/AVC High Profile compression format, provides significant bandwidth efficiencies and improved video performance over MPEG-2 compression used in HDV formats.
Panasonic’s new AG-HMC150 professional 3-CCD handheld camcorder offers 1080/720 AVCHD recording at bit rates up to 24Mb/s, while recording to solid-state SD memory cards. Other cameras offered include the AG-HMC150 handheld and AG-HMC70 shoulder-mount models.
