New MLS stadium in Philadelphia has installed Panasonic broadcast solutions

When a new MLS stadium and waterfront complex opens in 2010 just south of Philadelphia, it will incorporate broadcast and vision system solutions from Panasonic System Solutions. In addition to providing broadcast and TV production systems, Panasonic will be the exclusive provider of security/surveillance systems, large-screen LED displays and point-of-sale systems.
Panasonic will supply camcorders, camera systems, production monitors, mixers and switchers and other technologies, including an HD remote camera system.
Keystone Sports and Entertainment, the MLS Philadelphia 2010 ownership group, will count on Panasonic as the “Official Technology Partner.” An area within the new complex called “The Panasonic Experience” will highlight the newest technology innovations for home and business.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held in Chester, PA, in December for the 18,500-seat multipurpose soccer and sports stadium that will be constructed at the foot of the Commodore Barry Bridge. The stadium will feature an 11,000sq-ft club, 30 suites, a built-in concert stage for music shows and a special 2000-seat zone for the Sons of Ben supporters club. The new stadium is the centerpiece of a $500 million entertainment, retail, residential and commercial development covering more than 100ac along the Delaware River waterfront.
