New York Mets switch with Ross

At the start of what could be the team’s best season ever, the New York Mets have selected a Ross Video production switcher and other technology as the centerpiece of a new HD control room inside the Mets’ new home at Citi Field.

A Ross Vision QMD/X digital production switcher (with multipanel control capabilities) and a Ross SoftMetal video server will deliver Mets fans live and prerecorded HD video segments on the stadium’s large screen and smaller LCD monitors located throughout the venue. The new Citi Field ball park features natural grass and capacity for 42,000 fans.

The Vision QMD/X at Citi Field features 4M/E channels (four keys per M/E), six downstream keyers and 96 multidefinition inputs. The new control room was fully operational for two preseason exhibition games against the Boston Red Sox April 3 and 4.
