NewTek TriCaster PRO provides Mac support

NewTek, a maker of video and 3-D animation products, has announced iVGA for Mac, a software client that allows computer displays to be integrated into a live TriCaster production or presentation.

TriCaster combines the functionality of a live TV truck into a 10lb, 1 cubic foot housing. It's a portable live production suite that simultaneously distributes content to video, Internet and projector. The toolset is designed for broadcasters, video makers and producers of professional-quality, multicamera video for delivery over the Internet.

Continuing to enhance the system, NewTek has introduced iVGA, a software application designed for network-connected Macintosh computers. Any display on a Mac screen is sent across the network as a video input into TriCaster's live switcher, or can pass through TriCaster, at full resolution, to a projector.

TriCaster PRO also features dozens of pre-built CG templates for titles; keying to mix graphics over live video; virtual VCR to cue digital video clips and play them back instantly; and integrated real-time video editing for onsite changes.
