Octopus Newsroom Trading will focus on a new option to its newsroom computer system that increases the precision of planning in assigning a story to a reporter.
When creating a story, the assignment desk can easily define sub-stories to assign to different users. Additionally, planning becomes more precise, which saves time when it comes to describing who's responsible for which part of a story. Approval status applies to sub-stories in the same way it does to regular stories, and producers can easily see what lies ahead.
Finally, when the rundown producer picks up a story, he can decide whether to merge sub-stories into one rundown page or to keep all sub-stories as separate pages.
