OmniBus unveils flexible, scalable products built on G3 architecture

At this year's IBC, OmniBus will release products built on the flexible, scalable G3 architecture.

Based on standard open-IT protocols, G3's concept of micro-modular design delivers integrated units of functionality, each of which addresses precise requirements of individual users. The G3 system allows broadcasters to integrate, control and configure OmniBus products and third-party equipment.

Among OmniBus’ products at IBC2003 will be the entry-level HeadLine News Solution, the HeadLine Media Editor and the TX>Play scalable automation playout system.

The HeadLine News Solution provides the fixed, standard functionality required to take a newsroom to air including ingest, machine control, media viewing and playout.

OmniBus' HeadLine Media Editor series offers a range of tailored news editing solutions. It includes Edit 1000, which works with browse-resolution media; Edit 2000, which works with pre-recorded content; and Edit 3000, which is designed for journalists in the field.

The company also will unveil TX>Play, a scalable playout automation system built on the G3 architecture.
