On Call Communications has made available connectivity to The Switch in Los Angeles and to All Mobile Video in Carterette, NJ.
This gives On Call's QuickSPOT clients the ability to connect directly to all major networks and broadcasters. The new video connectivity also will be used for occasional video services provided by On Call's fleet of rental terminals and network of satellite uplink service providers.
On the West Coast, On Call installed a terrestrial connection to The Switch in Los Angeles from its teleport in Orange County. The Switch Los Angeles serves as On Call’s gateway to media companies in the Los Angeles area, major broadcast networks, other Los Angeles points of presence (such as PacTV) and to national and international video fiber networks such as AT&T, Genesis, Intelsat, Nexion and Vyvx.
On the East Coast, On Call’s agreement with All Mobile Video for use of its teleport delivers direct connectivity to major New York points of presence such as Waterfront and Azzurro.
