Planar Systems has unveiled its m70L, a commercial, direct-view 70in HD LCD monitor. The monitor is designed specifically for long-term, year-round operation in industrial applications such as utility and energy master control rooms and TV broadcast command centers. Features include:
- Full HD 1080p resolution
- High brightness (600 nits)
- 178-degree viewing angle
- 1500:1 contrast ratio
- Built-in power management and automation
- Broad video source compatibility
- Backlight control for longer life (50,000 hours to half brightness)
Planar incorporated other key features such as resistance to image quality degradation and automatic ambient backlight control to address the challenges associated with 24-hour operation in unpredictable environments.
