PlayBox to show entry-level automation at BroadcastAsia

At BroadcastAsia 2009, PlayBox Technology will show µPlay, an entry-level video and graphics playout package that includes everything to run a small channel, including local cable TV, university TV, corporate TV, etc. The product launched in May.

PlayBox µPlay integrates graphics, animation, video, audio and real-time external data feeds to build the final layout and look of the media. It inherits PlayBox Technology’s user interface, so no special broadcast knowledge is needed for operation.

The product can play out video and audio directly from almost any input without transcoding. The graphics capability means a station can have a strong ID, look good on air, and can present automated data including stock tickers, weather and SMS messages live.
