Scientific-Atlanta will come to NAB2006 with its Model D9034 second-generation MPEG-4 SD encoder, which delivers encoding for enhanced video and audio transmission in multiple applications.
Model D9034 supports both MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 part 10 (H.264) video with MPEG-4 picture-in-picture video services in the same chassis. The D9034 encoder features adaptive motion compensated temporal filtering with PreSightPlus noise reduction, and integrated frame synchronizer.
It also offers full DVB VBI support and has built-in digital program insertion features via contact closure or cue tone interface for program and ad-insertion applications in the digital domain (SCTE 35).
