Scopus to highlight IRP-3910 decoder, downconverter at SCTE Cable-Tec

At SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2008 June 24-27 in Philadelphia, Scopus will feature the IRP-3910, a multichannel professional decoder/downconverter unit specifically designed to address the transition from analog to digital ATSC broadcast television.

The Scopus IRP offers various configurations to allow cable operators to receive, process, multiplex, decode and perform HD downconversion of off-air ATSC broadcasts.

The IRP-3910 in a compact 1RU form factor provides up to four channels of HD decoding, along with dynamic aspect ratio conversion. The IRP also incorporates a multiplexing core that enables grooming and PSIP aggregation of multiple HD and SD programs for digital content distribution.

These integrated capabilities eliminate the need for an external multiplexing device. A wide variety of inputs (8VSB, ASI, IP) and outputs (baseband video, ASI, IP) are available.
