Silicon Graphics to focus on visualization, storage at NAB2005

The Silicon Graphics Prism visualization and SGI InfiniteStorage RM610/RM660 systems will make their NAB debut at this year’s conference.

Driving a Sony SXRD 4K projector, Prism will showcase multi-pipe visualization using scalable commodity graphics.

Prism has an open architecture platform that can handle the 4K requirements of digital cinema mastering and digital intermediates.

SGI InfiniteStorage RM610 storage addresses broadcasters' multiple stream and low latency, real-time requirements. SGI InfiniteStorage RM660 storage is specifically optimized for production, including high-resolution capture from scanner, digital cinema cameras and telecines, resolution-independent editing and compositing applications.
