SNS to highlight new iSCSI protocol software for A/V file sharing via Ethernet

Studio Network Solutions will introduce its iSANmp software at IBC2004. Built on the iSCSI protocol, iSANmp is intended for facilities that need to share audio and video files over Ethernet.

iSCSI is an IP-based storage networking standard that enables rapid and efficient transport of block-level I/O data over high-speed Ethernet. iSANmp works with Windows and Mac OS X systems.

Last year, SNS enabled cross-platform, shared storage Fibre Channel networking with its SANmp software. It has now expanded its feature set to include iSCSI. To bring this new technology to the Mac platform required the creation of an iSCSI initiator. SNS has included its iSCSI initiator, as well as support for iSCSI volume sharing, into its new iSANmp application.

SNS designed iSANmp specifically for the A/V industries.
