Telecast Fiber to debut CopperHead DLV3X1 dual-link fiber transceiver

At NAB2008, Telecast Fiber will premiere its new CopperHead DLV3X1 camera-mounted fiber-optic HD dual-link video system.

The CopperHead DLV3X1 converts electrical signals to optical for transport of 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 signals between the camera head and a recording device through a single lightweight, battle-rated fiber-optic cable.

By replacing three or four coax cables, the DLV3X1 not only reduces the bulk and weight of camera cabling but also increases signal transmission distances from several hundred feet to as far as 9mi.

The unit measures 3.7in x 5.5in x 1.75in and sits between virtually any dual-link 4:4:4 camera and its battery.
