The TH 792 CD from Thales is a water-cooled, depressed-collector IOT.
In NTSC, the TH 792 CD IOT delivers 63kW in common amplification, with 23dB minimum gain and a figure merit of 134 percent.
In 8-VSB, it delivers an average of 30kW with 58 percent efficiency.
The RF circuit for the TH 792 CD uses the same basic components as that for the TH 792, making it easy to switch from a standard to an MSDC IOT with only a few minor modifications to the cavity.
