At IBC2005, TMD announced the latest extension to its Mediaflex media asset management, workflow and resource management solution, which quickly and accurately inserts subtitles into file-based media content.
Until now, most broadcast operations have inserted subtitles into the transmission stream. However, using the new subtitle insertion solution from TMD, subtitles can be integrated as part of the files. This makes it simpler to manage and ensures that the correct subtitles are always transmitted.
The new subtitle insertion application, which will be available as an add-on function to Mediaflex, is compatible with Softel’s insertion software and Omneon’s video server.
