TSL introduced the multistandard, multiformat PAM2-3G16, the latest addition to the company’s Precision Audio Monitor (PAM) family, during IBC2009.
PAM2-3G16 simplifies monitoring of Dolby E/D or discreet multichannel audio using preset menus and shortcut keys. The new audio monitor offers selectable scales, ballistics, a range of standard input/output signals and the ability to dissect and monitor any multichannel audio signal structure intelligently, including mixed mono, stereo and 5.1.
PAM2-3G16’s 2RU package and large OLED displays are a natural evolution of features and operability offered by the company’s PAM1-3G8. The product has a total of 10 buttons that can be used to access menus and recall and manage user presets. Sixteen bargraphs are displayed at the same time, enabling users to view four groups of embedded audio or eight AES pairs at a glance.
