ViewCast recently unveiled its Niagara SCX Pro software product, which controls and monitors multiple encoders over an IP network from a single interface while adding MPEG-4/H.264 and H.263 live streaming encoding.
With SCX Pro, users can set up and control encoders throughout an enterprise or over the Internet with a single interface, eliminating the need for multiple products, such as Windows Media Encoder, RealProducer or Helix Mobile Producer, to control and monitor the encoding process.
ViewCast will also be including the Adobe Flash Media Encoder, which enables the capture of audio and video while streaming it live to a Flash Media Server (FMS) or to a Flash Video Streaming Service (FVSS). Live Flash encoding will add to the broad range of streaming formats supported by its GoStream Plus and Niagara Pro streaming media appliances that can then be used for both live and video-on-demand (VOD) applications.
