Several TV stations in Latin America recently used Vizrt systems, software and graphics platforms to display voting returns during their election coverage.
A system made up of Viz’s Engine and Renderer; Viz Artist animation and visual effects tool; and Viz Trio character generator powered the election graphics. The system was used in Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador and Brazil.
Gizmo Studio, a Buenos Aires-based service provider and Vizrt partner, used the Vizrt systems to design graphics in Argentina and Mexico. The studio assisted election shows for Mexico’s Cadena 3 and Argentina’s Artear TV network.
In June, after a month of planning and preparations, Cadena 3 successfully used Viz Artist and Viz Trio CG software to create broadcast graphics in HD and SD in real time for Mexico’s congressional elections.
Artear, one of the largest TV networks in Argentina, made a similar jump in capabilities for its congressional election broadcast in July. Artear was also an existing Vizrt customer and wished to improve the branding of both channels. Gizmo assisted in designing and implementing a new look for Todo Noticias, Artear’s 24-hour news channel.
Gizmo also worked with Artear to implement a workflow change and developed graphics through the Vizrt systems that facilitated the transition for Artear’s graphics operators.
