Widevine Cypher extends pay-TV services to native video players on PCs, Macs and other Internet consumer devices. It converts MPEG-2 transport streams so they are recognizable by Adobe Flash, Apple QuickTime and RealNetworks RealPlayer. Cypher makes it possible for operators to securely deliver existing TV content to retail consumer devices without the need for special connectors, headend equipment or custom player software.
