Wisconsin station selects Jampro UHF slot antenna for HDTV channel.

Buzz Country, headquartered in Tomah, WI, has purchased a Jampro 32-bay Prostar slot antenna to broadcast its new HDTV movie station, WIBU-TV. Warmus and Associates, of Bath, OH, are engineering the Tomah site and will be installing the model JA/MS antenna.

The rugged version of Jampro's JA/LS low power UHF slot antenna, the JA/MS is designed to stand up to brutal western Wisconsin winters, with its enclosed and environmentally sealed white UV-resistant radomes. Prior to shipment to WIBU, the JA/MS antenna was factory-tuned at Jampro‚’s facilities, which include a 7000sq ft test range, eliminating the need for field tuning in Tomah.

Buzz Country's WTMB-FM radio station went on the air in November 2003 and has already established itself as a market leader in western Wisconsin, providing comprehensive newscasts, farm news and information, and music. Buzz Country is part of eight stations statewide owned by the Magnum Radio Group.
