WNIN-TV selects MicroFirst DAS

WNIN-TV, the PBS member television station in Evansville, IN, has selected MicroFirst’s Digital Automation System (DAS) to provide comprehensive station automation and nearline archive management and control.

This new redundant DAS is designed to provide a streamlined workflow for ingest, metadata management and transmission of multichannel content.

The DAS will control 15 Thomson K2 server channels as well as five Miranda ImageStore and Intuitions, one Utah Scientific 400 routing switcher, four Digital Vision Bitlink and four Motorola IRDs, one Triveni PSIP generator, one Sage Emergency Alert System, several VTRs and a 48TB NAS.
