Wohler Technologies is now shipping its AMP1-16-3G and AMP1-E16-3G 16-channel multirate audio monitors, equipped with organic light emitting diode (OLED) screen technology. With an intuitive control interface, these monitoring systems simplify the most complex multichannel and surround applications.

The AMP1-E16-3G 16-channel multirate audio monitors support both the Dolby E-capable and Dolby Digital Plus standards. Dolby Digital Plus support simplifies monitoring for HD broadcasts with up to 7.1 channels of surround sound.

Equipped with dual-selectable 3G/HD/SD inputs, the AMP1-16-3G and AMP1-E16-3G provide monitoring for up to 16 channels of embedded audio within a single multirate SDI signal. Two of the unit's three OLED screens provide simultaneous monitoring of 16 audio channels with flexible options for high-resolution 180-segment audio metering.

Depending on the operation, the screens may display video or data, setup and configuration controls, active help, or alerts notifying the operator if signals fall out of compliance with ITU-1770/1771 standards. With their unparalleled contrast ratio and clarity, these OLED screens enhance the AMP1-16 units' suitability for applications requiring both performance and cost-efficiency.

The fully digital system architecture of the monitors incorporates high-fidelity class-D amplifiers for absolute reproduction of the embedded signal. Flexible assignment of directional signals allows the operator to configure the monitor to the specific needs of a production. In addition, user-selectable metering functions and eight user-defined presets provide speedy configuration of the monitor to meet various operational and programming requirements.
