An important part of WXMI-TV’s newly expanded morning news is traffic coverage of the west Michigan area, which is supplemented by Beat the Traffic maps and data.

WXMI-TV, the Tribune Broadcasting-owned FOX affiliate in Grand Rapids, MI, has launched expanded morning news, delivering four hours of local programming during which it keeps viewers informed of traffic conditions with Beat the Traffic.

To support in-house traffic reporting, Beat the Traffic provides comprehensive road speeds, travel times, accidents, incidents, events and forecasts for the entire market and commuting area.

West Michigan viewers also can access the latest traffic information at any time from their computers or mobile phones from the station’s Web site.
