CEA to hold spot on FCC consumer panel

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) will hold one of 26 seats on the FCC's third Consumer Advisory Committee focused on educating consumers about the digital television transition.

FCC chairman Kevin Martin appointed the association to membership on the committee June 18. The committee will hold its first meeting Aug. 10.
