DiBcom Octopus receiver chip supports worldwide mobile TV standards

At IBC2009, DiBcom will spotlight its Octopus receiver chip, which supports worldwide digital and mobile TV standards in a single, programmable architecture. Featuring 65nn technology, the DIB10098 integrates RF from lower VHF to upper S-band, a programmable demodulator that can support all worldwide TV and radio standards, and conditional access processing to descramble protected content. The compact IC includes a quad-band RF tuner, demodulator that integrates a broadcast-specific programmable vector signal processor with a multimode channel decoder, MAC, memory and a power management unit.

Also featured at IBC will be DiBcom's DIB29098 mobile TV diversity receiver for satellite and terrestrial broadcast TV and radio. It has a dual RF tuner supporting lower VHF to upper S-band and a demodulator that can handle all European TV standards (DVB-T, DVB-H, DVB-SH) and all European radio standards (DAB, DAB+ and T-DMB).
