Silicon & Software Systems (S3) is integrating Discretix’s multischeme mobile TV security client into its onHandTV mobile interactive digital client, giving onHandTV users the ability to quickly deploy mobile TV solutions over a secure platform.
The addition of the Discretix client to onHandTV provides content protection according to the OMA BCAST Smart Card and DRM profiles, and the DVB-H 18Crypt profile. The onHandTV system, which is compliant with the OMA BCAST, DVB-H, T- DMB and DAB-IP mobile broadcast standards, manages the reception of TV and data services over broadcast, multicast and unicast bearers, delivered to multiple mobile devices.
