Expway adds NDS conditional access technology to mobile electronic service guide

NDS has integrated its VideoGuard Mobile conditional access technology with Expway’s FastESG Electronic Service Guide (ESG). The solution supports both the Open Security Framework and the OMA BCAST Smart Card Profile.

Based on the NDS Unified Headend, which manages rights and business offers across multiple platforms, the NDS VideoGuard Mobile enables mobile operators to launch mobile TV services on current standards immediately, with the ability migrate to additional standards as they become available. By integrating the Expway ESG, NDS can offer European operators the ability to launch a mobile TV service without a specific profile.
