The Harris Broadcast Communications Division DVB-T Liquid Cooled Output Filter 5kW/UHF has been awarded "Product of the Year" by Cable & Satellite International at its annual awards ceremony at IBC2005 in Amsterdam.
Introduced in March 2005, the DVB-T Liquid Cooled Output Filter was honored in the category of "Best Terrestrial Wireless Contribution/Distribution/Transmission Solution."
The DVB-T Liquid Cooled Output Filter cools the heat that builds within the filter housing during operation. As the first liquid-cooled DVB-T filter, the product uses the DVB-T transmitter's existing liquid cooling system to dissipate the heat build-up from filter operation. Benefits include a significant reduction in energy consumption and low insertion loss.
