Mobile applications developer MINICK has installed Telestream’s Episode Engine Pro at its hosting center in Hamburg, Germany. The company is using the server-based application to handle media encoding into mobile formats for more than 60 content providers across the globe.
MINICK, which serves such clients as MTV, Channel 4, Vodafone and Swisscom, tapped Episode because it is a server-based solution capable of encoding a wide range of video input and output formats for mobile devices. Content producers at MINICK use Episode’s desktop applications to encode mobile content ranging from 30-second clips to feature films.
This is the fourth Episode Engine Pro purchased by MINICK, which plans to add more of the systems as its services for mobile operators grow.
