Mobile DTV Alliance grows with seven new members

Seven companies, including Freescale Semiconductor, Harris, Mediaphy, MobiTV, Royal Philips Electronics, Silicon & Software Systems and LSI Logic have joined the Mobile Digital TV Alliance, the group announced last week.

Since its founding earlier this year, the MDTV Alliance has been supported by corporations across the globe, with the aim to promote best practices and open standards that deliver digital broadcast television to mobile devices, particularly via DVB-H.
