NCTA Cable 2007 show to kick off with Mobile Bootcamp

The National Cable and Telecommunications Association (NCTA) will be holding an all-day session on mobile technology just before this year's Cable 2007 show opens. The Mobile Bootcamp, taking place on May 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, is aimed at cable operators, programmers and advertisers.

Also planned for the show this year is "Cable Without the Cable: Strategies for a Wild, Wireless World," a session devoted to exploring cable's foray into the market for wireless communications. Executives from Cox Communications, Motorola, Rogers Communications and Time Warner Cable will discuss next-generation approaches for delivering the cable home communications experience to mobile devices. The session will take place on Wednesday, May 9, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., in the Mandalay Bay Ballroom L.
