PanAmSat transmits 2006 World Cup action in HD to Latin America

PanAmSat is delivering the 2006 World Cup to every major Latin American broadcaster for their standard and high-definition channels across the continent. The PanAmSat fleet is transmitting 31 full days of world-class matches from Europe to soccer fans across Latin America.

The PAS-9, PAS-3R and PAS-1R video distribution satellites are providing multiple paths of game coverage throughout Central and South America. For coverage of the event to Latin America and the U.S. Spanish-speaking market, PanAmSat will be supporting a number of rightsholders, including Televisa, TV Azteca and Univision.
