RF Central unveils new 2GHz rack-mounted transmitter

RF Central debuted its new RFX-RMT-II 2GHz rack-mounted transmitter at HD World 2007 in New York City.

With composite, component, SDI (HD) or DVB-ASI inputs, the compact product is well suited for live news and sports coverage. It offers a variable 6MHz, 7MHz and 8MHz modulator, 500MW power output and full MPEG menu control.

The RFX-RMT-II's linear RF amplification technology limits spectral regrowth at full power to less than -35dBc, offering robust RF performance with exceptional adjacent channel rejection. While presently available in the 2GHz frequency band, additional frequencies will be available upon request.

The RFX-RMT-II is available as standard SD unit that is software-upgradeable to full HD capability. Demodulation modes include QPSK, 16-QAM and 64-QAM.
