Telestream recently introduced version 4.3.1 of its Episode encoding software, which features direct integration with the Compressor 3 encoding tool included in Apple’s Final Cut Studio 2. The new feature expands Final Cut Studio’s encoding capabilities to more audio and video formats, including mobile.
Video and audio formats and encoding settings supported by Episode 4.3.1 include Flash 8, Windows Media, VC-1 and the broadcast-specific formats of GXF, IMX, MPEG-2 4:2:2 and high-profile H.264. In addition to the Final Cut integration, Episode 4.3.1 also provides Dashboard Widgets on Episode products, allowing users to drag and drop files onto the configurable widget to encode media at the desktop or on the server.
Available now, Episode 4.3.1 is a free upgrade for existing customers.
