Ian Hamilton is an innovator and entrepreneur in Internetworking infrastructure and applications for more than 20 years. He is a member of the FIMS technical board and initiated the project to design and develop a test harness to allow organizations working with FIMS to perform independent validation using data-driven simulators for service consumers and providers. As a founding member of Signiant, he also has led the development of innovative software solutions to address the challenges of fast, secure content distribution over the public Internet and private intranets for many of the media and entertainment industries’ largest companies. He discussed FIMS 1.0 at the 2012 SMPTE Annual Technical Conference last October.
