Belo deploys ILC’s Video IP for news

Network control software developer ILC has announced that its MaxView software with Scenario scheduling system was chosen by Belo to automate the management and scheduling of a video-over-IP news network for its television stations.

Deploying MaxView to optimize video path utilization, Belo stations in Washington D.C., Phoenix, Seattle and Texas, can send each other breaking news segments without requiring satellite time.

The system interconnects Belos’ six Texas stations: KVUE-TV Austin; KHOU-TV Houston; KENS-TV San Antonio; WFAA-TV Dallas/Fort Worth; TXCN (Texas Cable News); Belo Capitol Bureau in Washington, D.C.; KING-TV in Seattle/Tacoma, WA; KTVK-TV Phoenix; and KMSB-TV Tucson, AZ.
