CBS.com has launched CBS Netcast, a service for Internet users to download audio podcasts of CBS programs and original CBS.com programming to their computers or portable handheld devices.
CBS Netcast offers daily podcasts related to Big Brother, House Calls, and Survivor Live. Also offered with be complete episodes of the soap opera, Guiding Light, and certain CBS prime time series.
Larry Kramer, president, CBS Digital Media, said podcasting has become one of the fastest growing programming and promotional tools in media today.
CBS Netcast begins the first week of September. Its first download, a “Guiding Light” episode, is set for Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. EST.
