Fox TV buys Vizrt’s Curious World Map Systems

The FOX Television Station Group has purchased 25 Curious World Map Systems from Vizrt.

A total of eight FOX O&O’s updated their graphics systems to include street data, image processing capabilities, and high-resolution aerial imagery. FOX daily news programs will be able to produce maps of international, national and local news events easily and quickly.

Each Curious World Map system includes detailed local street data, enhanced topography data, advanced paint and image processing, 2-D and 3-D animation, global satellite imagery and hyper-local aerial imagery. They can call upon either a comprehensive worldwide database or extremely detailed maps of the streets of their own broadcast areas.
