Frost & Sullivan honors Extensis for digital asset management

Frost & Sullivan, an industry growth consultant, has chosen Extensis — maker of Portfolio media asset management software — as the recipient of the 2004 Customer Value Enhancement Award for its achievements in the workgroup digital asset management solutions sector.

Extensis was recognized for demonstrating excellence in maintaining and expanding its installed base with innovative, value-creation solutions, and a commitment to continually enhancing the value of its products and services.

Extensis’ digital asset management (DAM) solution, Portfolio, enables workgroups to organize, retrieve, repurpose and distribute digital files quickly and easily. Portfolio is designed for both workgroups in small-to-medium sized organizations or multiple workgroups in global 2000 companies.

As part of its product development and release process, Extensis conducts user focus-group studies and surveys, as well as product trial or beta programs, to obtain feedback from existing and potential customers, and make appropriate changes and improvements to products.

For the company’s latest product, Portfolio 7, Extensis invited a Customer Advisory Board made up of a dozen companies to join a two-day workshop for discussions on the product's design goals, to walk-through new features and provide in-depth feedback on the implementation process.
