Gotuit Media and Universal Music Group expand VOD

Gotuit's music-on-demand service will be a lot like its sports-on-demand, giving subscribers instant access to a large library of videos.

Gotuit Media, a provider of video-on-demand products, and Universal Music Group (UMG), the world’s largest music company, have announced that, in a multi-year non-exclusive deal, they have expanded their relationship to enable the nationwide roll out of UMG’s extensive library of music videos through the music-on-demand service.

This relationship allows cable operators to offer their VOD subscribers instant access to, and personal choice and control of, popular videos from many of the biggest recording artists in the business.

Gotuit music-on-demand gives subscribers instant access to one of the world’s most extensive libraries of music videos. It offers viewers hundreds of music videos arranged in various genre, label and artist music blocks running approximately two hours in length, and it empowers them to be their own video jockey by allowing them to personalize their music video viewing experience where they decide what videos get played.

The Gotuit music-on-demand service has already been deployed in a test market with an undisclosed major U.S. cable system, the company said.
