Imake software now supports over 20 million cable TV subscribers

The Imake product suite includes Asset Manager for the management of the creation and distribution of VOD content throughout a service provider’s network.

Imake, a Maryland-based provider of business software and consulting, has announced that its delivery, billing and management software for VOD and interactive services now supports more than 20 million cable television subscribers in over 100 cities in the United States.

The Imake product suite includes Asset Manager for the management of the creation and distribution of VOD content throughout a service provider’s network and Entitlement/Upsell Server, which ensures on-time, accurate billing for digital services such as VOD and pay-per-view by interfacing with billing systems. It also includes Pitcher/Catcher, which automates and simplifies digital media asset management and distribution.

Imake offers an entire suite of open standards-based solutions that enable the creation and delivery of VOD and IPTV content. Other products include Session Resource Manager (SRM), which dynamically allocates resources, such as bandwidth, to provide quality of service to the subscriber while minimizing infrastructure requirements for the service provider, and Content Creator, which enables content and associated metadata to be digitally encoded, managed and edited.
