Shotoku pedestals support virtual production at National Terrorism Preparedness Institute

The National Terrorism Preparedness Institute (NTPI) has selected a virtual pedestal system from Shotoku to support its new Orad virtual studio located in the Allstate Center of St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, FL.

Founded in 1998 and funded by the Department of Homeland Security, NTPI produces training programs, educational videos and live broadcasts that are delivered on a variety of platforms. Computer-generated sets produced with the virtual system are targeted at emergency medical, fire rescue, police, public health and emergency management people. NTPI operates the video production and fully networked shared storage editing facility.

Three Shotoku TP-64VR virtual pedestals have been installed in the new studio, and each includes a built-in encoder for easy set-up and accurate signal conversion.
