Sony and Veritas Software have announced that Sony is bundling version 10.0 of Veritas’s Backup Exec QuickStart Edition software with numerous models of Sony’s branded tape drives. The bundled software, with Sony-branded Advanced Intelligent Tape (AIT) drives and numerous DDS-4 drive models, provides tools needed for effective data backup and recovery.
Sony and Veritas tested and certified the hardware and software to ensure full interoperability. The bundle comes with a variety of pre-defined backup templates that enables users to begin backing up critical data right out of the box.
Sony-branded AIT and DDS drives in the bundle range in price from $595 to $1035.
