BTX introduces MaxBlox EZ Termination System solderless HD15 and DB9 connectors
Jun 16, 2007 8:00 AM
BTX Technologies has introduced its next generation of solderless connectors — the new MaxBlox EZ Termination System. Building on the technology of BTX's previous solutions, this new design eliminates the problems of soldering in the field, reducing labor hours and saving both time and money for installers.
The MaxBlox system allows installers to terminate an HD15 or a DB9 with a screwdriver and mount it on a cable or into a wallplate in a fraction of the time it would take to solder.
Optimized for use in any A/V application where VGA or RS-232 controls are used, the HD15 and DB9 connectors are manufactured by BTX with Phoenix Contact terminal blocks. The system accommodates wire diameters from .120in to. 500in.
Included in the system are the company’s next-generation CD-MX15M and CD-MX15F HD15 male and female connectors, and CD-MX9M and CD-MX9F DB9 male and female connectors. All can be panel mounted as standalone connectors, or cable mounted when used with the included CD-MX915H clamshell hood.
