CableLabs and the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) have announced that CableNET, the cable industry's showcase of innovative services and technologies, will again be a featured exhibit at the 2008 Cable Show, to be held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, May 18-20, 2008. This is the NCTA's 57th convention and exhibition.
CableNET is designed to highlight a wide variety of next-generation broadband services as well as technologies that cable operators are expected to deliver to consumers in the coming year. Past CableNET shows have showcased early generations of interoperable cable modems, voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and OpenCable Platform (OCAP) advanced interactive digital video technology prior to consumer market deployment.
CableLabs and the NCTA provide a turnkey solution as part of this integrated showcase exhibit within an exhibit, so participating companies are provided with the key logistics of their demonstration.
