BayTSP launches digital fingerprinting, watermarking solution
Aug 17, 2007 3:17 PM
BayTSP has launched a content authentication platform that provides digital content owners with a one-stop shop to incorporate digital fingerprinting and watermarking technologies to protect and monetize their intellectual property.
Key to the platform is a fingerprint library, maintained by BayTSP, that can be accessed by user-generated content sites like YouTube to use proactive content filtering to determine whether user uploaded content includes copyright infringing material.
The platform allows content owners to establish business rules determining where and how their content can be used. Video hosting sites that employ content filtering through BayTSP’s platform will know whether user-generated content meets the guidelines established by the content owner, greatly reducing the risk of posting copyright infringing material.
